How can I volunteer with GROAD CIC?You can sign up via our Volunteering Form or get in touch directly. We welcome volunteers for sorting donations, collection support, event help, and community drives.
-
Do I need any specific skills or experience to volunteer? Not at all! Everyone is welcome. The most important qualities are a willingness to help and a positive attitude. Training will be provided where necessary.
-
Can businesses or schools get involved through volunteering?Yes! We encourage group volunteering days, workplace challenges, and school drives. It’s a great way to give back while building teamwork and community spirit.
-
Is there a minimum time commitment for volunteers? No minimum, whether you can give a few hours once in a while or commit to regular support, every contribution makes a difference.
-
Besides donating items, how else can I support GROAD CIC?Make a financial contribution to help us cover transport, storage, and distribution costs. Spread the word by sharing our mission with friends, family, or on social media. Organise a community drive with your school, office, or neighbourhood.
-
What kind of items can I donate? We accept good-quality, reusable items such as: Clothing, shoes, and accessories Small home appliances (in working order) Kitchenware, utensils, and cookware Books, toys, and educational materials Clean bedding, curtains, and linens Please note: We accept items that are in clean and usable condition. -
How should I prepare my items before donating?Wash and clean clothing, linens, and soft furnishings. Ensure appliances and electronics are in a safe, working condition. Pack smaller items in bags or boxes for easier transport. Label fragile items clearly. This helps us process and distribute donations quickly and effectively.
-
Can I get a receipt for my donation?Yes. Upon request, we can provide a donation receipt for your records. While donations are not tax-deductible in the UK, receipts help keep track of your contributions and support transparency.
-
