About the Project
Kultural Kitchen is GROAD’s community café and bistro initiative, created to bring people together through the universal language of food.
Born out of our mission to support refugees, asylum seekers and low-income families, the Kultural Kitchen provides a safe and welcoming space where women, many of them from refugee backgrounds, come together to cook, share recipes and prepare delicious culturally-rooted meals using surplus food and donations from the community and local food banks.

Empower Women through Cooking
We offer access to our community kitchen for refugee and migrant women to lead cooking sessions, share native dishes and gain confidence through hands-on skills.
Cooked Meals for Local Families
Prepared meals are shared with families experiencing hardship, providing both nourishment and comfort and reducing food waste through conscious redistribution.
Community Connection through Culture
Each meal shared at Kultural Kitchen is an opportunity to bridge cultures, celebrate diversity and build stronger, more inclusive communities.
